Everything Starts With The Horse

NuuMed was founded in Somerset, England by rider Ian Pocock, with a simple goal: to create saddle pads that fit correctly, stay in place, and keep horses comfortable.

As a former event rider, Ian struggled to find pads that didn’t slip, rub, or create pressure along the spine. This led to the development of the now-iconic HiWither design, engineered for correct fit, spinal clearance, and comfort in motion.

Today, NuuMed is still proudly made in the UK, now based in Northamptonshire and part of the Racesafe family. Our team continues to design and manufacture over 80 saddle pad styles, alongside in-house embroidery for riders and brands alike.
