01 - Choose Your Discipline

NuuMed offers three standard styles of saddle pads and numnahs to ensure you choose the right shape to fit the design of your saddle:

  • Brown NuuMed quilted dressage numnah

    Dressage (DR)

    Designed for dressage saddles, the front is cut straight.

  • Brown NuuMed quilted GP numnah

    General Purpose (GP)

    Designed for GP saddles, the front is cut to a slight curve.

    Close Contact (CC)

    Designed for jumping saddles, the front is forward cut.

Specialist designs also available for racing, side saddle, working hunter & endurance.

Please Note: All models now include short top straps as standard. Changes to the straps can be made for an additional cost. Please contact us for a quotation.

02 - Numnah or Saddle Pad?

The choice between numnah or saddle pad is mainly a question of personal preference, however, in certain circumstances you will need one or the other, such as in certain competitive classes. In dressage, for example, saddle pads are preferred, whereas in working hunter classes, a numnah is needed. Check your competition rulebook to be sure. Saddle pads are also chosen when adding embroidery.

03 - Choose Your Size

To find the right size, the most accurate way is to measure your saddle and then compare against the measurements on each product page. However, as a general guide, the following is usually appropriate. Please contact us if you are unsure:

  • 15" - 15.5" Saddle

    Size = Small

  • 16" - 16.5" Saddle

    Size = Medium

  • 17" - 17.5" Saddle

    Size = Large

  • Over 18"+ Saddle

    Size = Extra Large

The spine length is measured in a straight line along the top edge, from the front (wither) edge to the back edge. It’s the figure most people want when checking a NuuMed will suit their saddle.

04 - Choose Your Colour

Currently, we offer four core colours — White, Black, Navy, and Brown. However, if you are looking for a different colour, please get in touch. For larger orders of 20 or more, we can currently offer alternative colour options. Even if you are only looking for a single item, we would still love to hear your preferences, as this helps guide future colour additions as we expand the collection.

05 - Add Embroidery?
